BIODIESEL PRODUCTION
Caramuru is a leader in the production of biodiesel, a 100% clean and renewable biofuel made from plant-based raw materials. This initiative contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions, promotes environmental benefits and supports the transition to a more sustainable energy matrix.
SUPPORT FOR FAMILY FARMING
More than 2.700 families participate in the Family Farming project, which offers specialized technical assistance and promotes social inclusion (family producers and settlers). The initiative strengthens the production chain, boosts regional development and ensures compliance with the requirements of the Social Biofuel Seal.
SPC PRODUCTION
Caramuru produces Soy Protein Concentrate (SPC), recognized as an environmentally friendly meal, as the best plant-based alternative to fishmeal in aquaculture. This sustainable solution contributes to the conservation of marine ecosystems and promotes the circular economy. A renewable source, it reduces the capture of fish for feed formulation.
CO-GENERATION OF ELECTRICITY
With a focus on energy efficiency, Caramuru simultaneously cogenerates steam and electricity from renewable sources. This practice ensures energy self-sufficiency, reduces CO₂ emissions and reduces dependence on conventional sources, such as hydroelectric power.
SOYBEAN ETHANOL PRODUCTION
Caramuru adopts cutting-edge technology to produce ethanol from soybean molasses, fully utilizing the potential of the raw material with high energy efficiency. This initiative reinforces the diversification of the energy matrix and contributes to the mitigation of environmental impacts.
SUSTENTAR PROGRAM
Sustentar is Caramuru's own program to ensure the sustainability and traceability of the production chain. The initiative guides suppliers on the best agricultural and socio-environmental practices, ensuring compliance with global legislation and demands, in addition to fostering local economic development.
